Share His Life and Consequences

i read this, and it was so well put that it caused me to think differently of what Jesus said to us, so I wanted to pass it on! “If you share the life of Jesus, you also share all of its consequences.” Somehow i had always had some interpretation of “a student is no greater than his master,” and “if they hated Me, they will also hate you” as some kind of willingness on my part to take the sufferings with the blessings of Jesus’ life. In fact, as this man’s writing helped me see, it was rather Jesus warning us up front, once again, not letting us be blind-sided, caring for us openly and honestly from the very beginning before we have even chosen—no tricks, no traps, though an unveiling yet to begin, Jesus was saying, “If you will live in Me and share My life, you will also share ALL the consequences of My life.” The best parts being the forgiveness of our sins and salvation of our souls and eternal union with the Father and all of His, but no less so all the effects of darkness against the Life that exposes it. It’s part of the deal, not an option determined by our willingness to “take the bad with the good,” but rather IF WE SHARE HIS LIFE, WE WILL SHARE ALL THE CONSEQUENCES OF THAT LIFE.” ‘Twas helpful to me… love, ls
