Where He Stands, We Stand

Jesus said to Mary Magdalene after His resurrection, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” In reading this this morning, I wondered why He would say that. In thinking about it, it seemed He was saying, “I have accomplished what I came for and am returning to the Father to present My gift of obedience and love, both to Him and YOU! And now that it IS finished, you have not only forgiveness of your wretched sin-life through My blood, but because of that you are also promoted to the highest relationship possible in existence. The EXACT place where I STAND in relation to the CREATOR… YOU STAND.” “My Father and YOUR Father, my God and YOUR God.” That’s what He was saying to me at least. : ) Glad to share in that exalted place with you all too. —dave f. 11:46 a.m.
